With the start of the May half term being under our belt it can sometimes be super difficult to find affordable thing to do with the family.

I have found a great little Gem in Retford called Sundown Adventure land. It is accessible from many places and located in the beautiful country side on lovely windy picturesque roads.

Here are 10 reasons you should visit Sundown this summer with your young children

Its a theme park for the under 10’s which means there are no groups of older teenagers roaming around being loud and pushing and shoving!

Ticket prices are super reasonable meaning it caters for people of all budgets.

You don’t need to spend any money when in there if you don’t want to. All the shops are discreetly hidden so if you don’t want to spend money you can easily avoid them.

Loads of picnic eating places whether you want to sit on the ground on a mat or loads of benches are available.

If you do want to eat the food is fab and super affordable. We had hotdogs and chips each for a mere couple of pounds.

When the weather take a turn for the worse there are two great indoor play areas. A really large one which is great for all ages or a smaller alternative in the wild west area, which is not on as many levels so the kids can be seen if you want to sit for a coffee.

Super friendly staff. Nothing has ever been too much for any of the staff that I have spoken to on my visits. They seem to understand that the smaller kids need a little more time and attention when entering and exiting rides which is great.

Special events take place at Sundown like Halloween and Christmas, With this being a younger children’s theme park they are more age appropriate then say a larger type park like Alton Towers which is often too scary for smaller kids.

If you have children under 90cm they are lucky enough to get into the park for free. While my son was smaller I visited several times a summer as it made it an even cheaper day out cheaper when my son was free.

They offer annual passes! I would suggest if you are planning on visiting more then a couple of times a year then snap this offer up. It really works out a great deal.
